Epi Tools - Detection of disease and demonstration of freedom

These utilities can be used to estimate the sample size required to achieve the desired level of confidence of detecting disease ( herd-sensitivity) for a range of design prevalence values. Alternatively, they can also be used to estimate the level of confidence that a population is free of disease, or of detecting disease at the specified design prevalence (herd-sensitivity), for a specified sample size and assuming a test of known sensitivity and 100% specificity and that all samples have a negative test result. Options are provided for individual testing in finite and infinite populations and for pooled testing in an infinite population.
